Tom Casey

Tom Casey was born in 1940 and is a graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA. In 1991, he led the buyout team of former employees and investors to take over the ailing manufacturing operation at the current plant site.

Tom's work experience includes, but is not limited to, time as a Production Control Supervisor, Purchasing Agent, General Manager, Materials Manager, Sales, and Labor Relations Negotiator, prior to his assumption of President of Westmoreland Plastics Company. He was instrumental in restructuring, then discharging, the debts of Westmoreland Plastics's predecessor company, and, in turning the new operation around within six years.

Under his leadership, the company has increased sales dramatically and expanded the plant facilities to increase its manufacturing capacity. On January 1, 2000, Tom assumed the duties of the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of WPC.

Tom was previously employed by the UMEC Corporation of Latrobe from 1984 to 1989 and before that, from 1963 to 1984, by Vulcan Mold and Iron Company of Latrobe.
